Drum Kits
I thought I would give a rundown of my current kits. Both of the kits here were purchased from LoDo Drum Guy . If you are in or near Denver you should contact him. He has lots of gear. Gretsch Renown RN57 This kit is one that drummers usually love or hate. The styling is said to be inspired by cars from the 1950s. This one is in the Motor City Black color, which is a fancy way to say piano black. The white chevrons are aluminum pieces that are attached to the shells. My wife calls it the tuxedo kit. If you have ever played Gretsch drums you may know that the bass drums sound great. The matching snare is probably my favorite wood snare that I own. The die cast rims that came with the kits from this time frame (around 2014) help to dry out the sounds a bit and on the snare make for great rim shots.
